It's not nearly as big as the product details make it seem. It's actually 23.5 x 30.25 inches. I was definitely hoping for a bigger map for trip planning purposes. I'll use this in the meantime but will keep looking for a bigger map.My map is like others who have reported the edges being crinkled but I suppose that's the price you pay for delivery rather than picking it up in a store somewhere.

National Geographic really makes the most detailed and attractive maps on the market. Great detail of cities, towns and villages. Parklands and preserves are highlighted, boundaries of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland are well demarcated, without being overwhelming; roads are well indicated. Topography is illustrated well. All in all, a really well designed map.For fun, I glued this onto poster board before hanging on the wall. I stick pins on all the spots I want to visit on my next trip to the UK. Perfect!

This map gives clear views of roadways and county names. I am going to take a trip to England and while it is a guided tour I wanted to know where we would go, and what to expect. This map is very clear, very detailed, and it allows me follow the route we will follow. It is almost perfect for my needs. Because it is so detailed, the print is tiny and I had to use a magnifying glass to map my route. More a problem with aging eyes than the map. I am glad I bought it.

I bought this so that I could hang it on my wall with my old routes traces on it and my future destinations pinned out. It serves this purpose very nicely and I daydream often. :) I didn't expect it to be so beautiful though! The colors are very vibrant, the paper is high quality, and it has a pretty impressive amount of detail (the tiniest of tiny towns don't make it on, but most of the places you'd like to be on a map are there). If you're a map person or a travel person or a UK/Ireland person, this is a good buy.

The only thing that would have made this map better would have been if it was laminated, but I suppose that was my fault for not making sure I bought a laminated map...

Great detailed map and perfect size for what I intend for it. Even thought it came in a protective tube, the map managed to get slightly wrinkled. That’s my only complaint.

It is hanging on the wall and getting stuck with pins showing the places we want to visit.

We got this before our trip to the UK and used it extensively to plan our vacation. Big enough to hang on the wall and see the overall details, although a magnifying glass is useful for the tinier bits. It was a nice way to build up the anticipation and answer questions.

Best way to get kids to learn about all topics at a young age. My daughter actually didn't have to finish the whole book but she was so interested she had to finish it. Made her ask a lot of questions and she loves Obama!

This book was very useful for my 1st grader's president report. It was easy for him to read and understand, and had all the information necessary for his report. Seemed to be very appropriate for 1-3 grade reading and information level.

Was a very good read on the lives of the Transgendered community.

There are few surprises in this report for those of us who have been allies or activists for many years, but this book is the best I have seen so far to help those outside our community understand transgender at least a little better. It should be required reading in all gender studies courses.Fortunately, the authors use the term transgender in it's broadest meaning. One surprising result of their study is expressed as follows: "In our survey, respondents offered more than a hundred different descriptions for their gender identity besides the traditional categories of men, women, and transgender." Many, or perhaps most, of these unique categories are somewhere under the relatively new category genderqueer.This is the most difficult of all for those of us who have spent much of our lives in a binary world. We understand male and female. We may even understand transition from female to male or male to female, although it may be outside our personal experience. It is the hundreds of "in-between" genders that are difficult to understand. If you share this puzzlement, "Nina Here Nor There" by Nick Krieger (available at Amazon.com) is an outstanding book by a transgender writer whose experience places them firmly in the genderqueer category somewhat on the male side of the middle between male and female.Authors Beemyn and Rankin do a pretty good job of explaining this category through exposition and anecdotal segments quoted from survey participants. The size of their survey group (about 3500 respondents) provides a higher statistical probability to their conclusions. The breadth of their survey - incorporating diversity in gender, ethnicity, race, and religion - further validates that transgender is endemic to all populations.I heartily recommend this book to anyone who wants to better understand the path our transgender friends have taken - or will take - in their lives.

When Geeny Beemyn and Susan Rankin set out to conduct a study of transgender people in the United States, they did something most people writing about transgender never do: they listened. They invited thousands of people to participate in surveys and to "self-identify," whether it was as transgender, transvestite, genderqueer, androgyne, drag queen or any other variation that described a gender identity other than binary male or female and in keeping with the gender one was assigned at birth. They also included people who used to identify as transgender but no longer did (as in the case of MTF or FTM transgenders who no longer identified as transgender after gender reassignment). By casting a wide net and allowing people to self-identify, the authors include voices often not heard in other studies, particularly among young people. I have almost every book Lieberman has written and I love his fairly simple explanations, and his occasionally funny commentary to go along with his explanation. It helps break up what would otherwise be very dry reading.

It's fine.

This is a great book for practicing process engineers, especially young engineers just beginning their careers. It contains a large number of different topics with real world examples and in-the-field, practical application shortcuts.

This is the 3rd or 4th Lieberman book I purchased and probably the best. Though there is significant overlap with other books of his, the additional material and the way it is presented make purchasing the book certainly worth it. Either a student, an experienced operator a design office or manufacturing site engineer, there is something in the book for all...
