The author used the heck out of a thesaurus when writing this book. The concepts in it are absurd. Common sense dictates a lot of what should be in this book, and yet it's regurgitated in a fashion that someone wants you to believe is a new concept. If you need the book for a class try to change that class. If you have to take that class just be aware of the mind numbing use the thesaurus the author used to bump up their word count. Check that block folks!
The book was a great learning resource, but the condition of the book was horrendous. The cover was separated from the text itself and there were many pages torn and or folded/written on. I have had a stellar experience with book rentals but this was by far the worst condition.
An excellent primer for any individual who will have people reporting to them or who will have Human Resources as part of their function. At times, it is a bit of a dry book because it's a textbook. But, it imparts knowledge and provides case studies that allows what is taught to be practically applied. I'm glad I purchased it.
Textbook came with the entire binding separated from the hardcover. Ill probably just use it like this, very carefully, til I finish my 8 week class since I cannot wait for returns or exchanges because my class already started. I better not get blamed for this.
